50–70% Less Than New · 4–6 Week Delivery

Remanufactured Transformers, Done Right Since 1994

Fully Rebuilt · ANSI Tested · 2-Year Warranty

Miami Transformers remanufactures distribution transformers from 25 kVA through 2500 kVA in our Miami, Florida shops. Every remanufactured transformer is disassembled, inspected, rewound where needed, retanked, oil-filled, and tested to ANSI/IEEE standards before shipping with a 2-year warranty.

    Why Choose a Remanufactured Transformer?

A remanufactured transformer delivers new-equivalent performance at a fraction of the cost and lead time.

    50–70% Cost Savings

Capital efficiency without sacrificing reliability or specs.

    4–6 Week Lead Time

Compare to 30–50 weeks for new transformers from OEM manufacturers.

    2-Year Warranty

Comprehensive warranty on workmanship and materials.

    Environmentally Sound

Cuts embodied carbon and copper/steel demand by reusing existing assets.

    The Miami Transformers Remanufacturing Process

Six steps. Documented. ANSI tested. Same process for every transformer that leaves the Miami shop.

    01

    Inspection & Diagnostics

Used transformer arrives at our Miami shop. We perform a full diagnostic — turns ratio, winding resistance, oil analysis, dissolved gas analysis, insulation resistance, power factor, and visual inspection of core, coils, gaskets, and tank.

    02

    Disassembly & Core/Coil Assessment

Tank is drained and the core/coil assembly is removed. The core is inspected for laminate damage, hot spots, and clamping integrity. Coils are inspected for insulation degradation and winding faults.

    03

    Coil Rewinding (if required)

Where coils are damaged or degraded, our shop rewinds the primary or secondary windings using new copper conductor and modern insulation systems. Cu/Cu and Al/Cu configurations supported.

    04

    Tank Reconditioning

Tank is sandblasted, repaired (welded as needed), and repainted to ANSI grey or customer-specified color. Bushings, gauges, gaskets, and accessories are inspected and replaced.

    05

    Reassembly & Oil Fill

Core/coil reinstalled, vacuum-dried, filled with mineral oil (reclaimed-clean or new), and processed for moisture and gas content to ANSI specifications.

    06

    ANSI/IEEE Final Testing

Full final test routine: ratio, resistance, losses, impedance, induced voltage, applied potential, insulation resistance, power factor, and oil dielectric. Test report ships with the unit.

    Remanufactured vs. New vs. Remanufactured

The terms get confused. Here's how they differ — and why "remanufactured" is the sweet spot for most utility, industrial, and commercial buyers.
