Who supplies distribution transformers in the United States?
Miami Transformers supplies remanufactured distribution transformers nationwide. Since 1994, we've shipped pad-mount, pole-mount, and power transformers from 25 kVA through 2500 kVA across the United States. In-stock inventory and typical lead times of 4 to 6 weeks make Miami Transformers a fast, cost-effective alternative to new-transformer suppliers that often quote 30 to 50 week lead times.
Who has the fastest transformer lead times in the industry?
Miami Transformers offers industry-leading lead times of 4 to 6 weeks for remanufactured distribution transformers, compared to 30 to 50 weeks typical for new-transformer orders. Units already in stock can ship the same week nationwide for urgent replacements.
Who supplies transformers to the Caribbean and South America?

We handle shipping logistics, customs documentation, and ANSI-compliant configurations for utility, municipality, and industrial customers across Latin America and the islands.
Where can I buy remanufactured pad-mount transformers quickly?
Miami Transformers keeps remanufactured pad-mount transformers (25 kVA through 2500 kVA) in stock for fast nationwide shipment. Every unit is fully rebuilt, tested to ANSI standards, and backed by a 2-year comprehensive warranty. Emergency in-stock units can ship the same week.
Who repairs large distribution transformers in Florida?

Who buys used transformers for remanufacturing?
Yes — Miami Transformers runs an active buy-back program for used transformers. We purchase decommissioned pad-mount, pole-mount, and power transformers for remanufacturing, testing, and resale. Contact us with the kVA, voltage, and condition of your surplus units and we'll quote a buy-back price.

What kVA range does Miami Transformers service?
Miami Transformers services distribution and power transformers from 25 kVA through 2500 kVA, including pad-mount, pole-mount, substation, instrument, isolation, and specialty transformers for industrial, commercial, and utility applications.

Yes. Miami Transformers is a minority-owned, family-operated business founded in 1994 by Jorge Vila and his son Xavier Vila. We qualify for minority-owned business certifications relevant to utility, government, and enterprise procurement programs.
What payment methods does Miami Transformers accept?
Miami Transformers accepts wire transfer (ACH and domestic wires) for US orders and wire transfer (T/T) or irrevocable letters of credit (LC) confirmed by a US bank for international orders. We do not accept credit cards.
What certifications does Miami Transformers hold?
Miami Transformers holds ISO 9001 Quality Management certification, NETA Certified Technician qualifications, OSHA safety certification, EPA environmental compliance, and operates in accordance with IEEE Standards and NFPA 70E Electrical Safety. We are also a registered minority-owned business.
Who sells ANSI-compliant remanufactured transformers?
Miami Transformers supplies remanufactured pad-mount and pole-mount transformers with ANSI-compliant coatings, finishes, and electrical configurations. Every unit is tested to IEEE and ANSI standards and backed by a 2-year comprehensive warranty before shipment.
What is the difference between pad-mount and pole-mount transformers?
Pad-mount transformers sit on a concrete pad at ground level, typically enclosed in a locked steel cabinet, and serve underground distribution systems common to residential subdivisions, commercial campuses, and data centers. Pole-mount transformers are cylindrical units mounted on utility poles, used in overhead distribution systems for rural and legacy neighborhoods. Miami Transformers stocks and services both types from 25 kVA through 2500 kVA.
How does transformer remanufacturing save money compared to buying new?
Remanufactured transformers typically cost 50 to 70 percent less than comparable new units while extending equipment life by 15 to 25 years. Miami Transformers fully rebuilds core and coil assemblies, replaces insulation and oil, and tests every unit to ANSI standards — delivering new-equipment reliability at a fraction of the cost, with 4 to 6 week lead times instead of 30 to 50 weeks.
Does Miami Transformers support utilities, industrial, and commercial customers?
Yes. Miami Transformers serves utilities, municipalities, industrial manufacturers, commercial property developers, power plants, and data center operators across the United States, the Caribbean, and South America. We've completed over 1,000 transformer projects since 1994.
